I agree with Frank on both points.
My Renault Diesel (front wheel drive) tends to have more wear at the left front tire due to more right than left turns (on/off Autobahn etc.)
As for the Honda: I donīt remember the 400cc four, but there was a 350 cc four on the market over here in the mid-seventies. It has really turned out to be a rare and wanted classic bike now, so go for it for that price! It really needs high revs however so it will make your Savage probably feel like a piece of farm machinery when changing bikes.
